How to switch page types in EComposer

A common issue many EComposer users face is accidentally creating pages with incorrect template types. For instance, you might have mistakenly built your Product page/sections using a Landing Page template. Rather than starting over from scratch, you can easily transfer your created content to the correct template type without rebuilding.

You can follow steps below to easily transfer your designs to the correct template type:

Step 1: Export your existing page. At top-right, click the Settings button, select Export as file => Save the .ecom file to your computer.

Step 2: Create a new blank Product page (make sure to select the correct page type you want to switch to).

Step 3: Import the exported template. Open the Import popup from the sidebar (top-right button) => select Import File.

=> Click the button Add File or drag and drop to upload the file that you just exported => Click the Import button.

Step 4: Finally, just publish your page and assign it to your product if needed. All done :)

Important Notes:

• This method works for all template types (Homepage, Product, Collection, etc.)
• Cannot import native Shopify theme pages – use EComposer components instead
