Theme Sections

The Theme Section in EComposer allows you to create custom sections and insert them directly into your existing Shopify theme pages without replacing the entire page layout.

Instead of rebuilding a full page with EComposer, you can keep your current theme structure and native theme sections, then use EComposer to create additional sections with more advanced or complex designs that may not be supported by your theme. These sections can be inserted anywhere between existing theme sections, giving you more flexibility to enhance your storefront while still maintaining your original theme setup.

This is especially useful when you want to:

• Add highly customized sections to theme pages
• Enhance specific areas of a page without redesigning everything
• Combine the stability of your Shopify theme with the advanced design capabilities of EComposer

1. Create a section in the Theme Sections option

• From the App dashboard, you can open Theme Sections at the left sidebar –> Start Building to create a new Section in EComposer.

• Find a pre-built section from the EComposer Library or close it to build from scratch.

• Click Insert on the section that you want to use:

• Adjust the name and slug, then hit Save and Publish:

2. Insert the section into the Shopify theme

After you create the section, it will be saved in the app. You will need to go to Online Stores -> Theme -> Edit theme to use it.

Now you can open a page in your store, click Add section, and find the section name to see the new section.

Notice: With all themes do not support Shopify 2.0, you guys only can add sections to the Homepage. But with Shopify 2.0’s theme, you can add sections to any pages
